Telugu filmmakers believes that Sankranti is the time for releases

Four films are releasing this Friday as Sankranti is the time for Telugu filmmakers to line up their big releases, the big among them, starring superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Balakrishna is first to get off the mark in the New Year with his Sankranti release, Okka Magadu, which means 'One man'.

Keeping the man company in the film are three heroines. The film is incidentally Balakrishna's first release after he became father-in-law to the son of his brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu."For my films, first I am a director, then only a producer. Everytime the director dominated the producer in me. We shot the film, spending well for the film to look good," said Y V S Chowdhary, Director, Okka Mogadu.Balakrishna's film has competition from Krishna starring Ravi Teja whose earlier flick Dubai Seenu did not generate much heat at the box office.

With this film, shot extensively on the banks of River Krishna in Vijayawada, Ravi Teja would hope he creates a splash this Sankranti."I kept the viewer's taste in mind. It is a good action film. In two and a half hours of the film, two hours is comedy," said V V Vinayak, Director, Krishna.Sankranti is also the time for films to be launched and three big budget movies starring Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and Balakrishna are in the pipeline.
